When you’ve been in business for almost 25 years, you’ve seen a lot. Those experiences offer valuable insight on how to manage your business during times of great uncertainty. No one could have foreseen the speed with which COVID-19-related events would impact our communities and country. While no one can say they were ready for a global pandemic, this is not the first time IE has been through a national crisis that has caused economic and social harm. From the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the Great Recession banking collapse, and now to the COVID-19 global pandemic, IE has borne witness to some of the most tragic and frightening moments in this country’s history.
As it relates to the COVID-19 crisis, IE believes, now more than ever, that technology — specifically the Modern Network — is critical to business continuity and will play a crucial role in this new paradigm of work. Moreover, companies with the ability and resources to transition to a work-from-home model, have been able to keep their employees safe and healthy while continuing to provide quality service to customers and other key stakeholders.
Additionally, virtual collaboration and maintaining secure access to critical data from anywhere have been crucial for the survival of businesses during these times. We are grateful and honored that we have been able to provide solutions and services that make this possible for our customers and by extension, their employees.
At this year’s company kickoff in January, we unveiled the theme, “Just Win.” 2019 had been one of our best years ever and the first quarter of 2020 was equally strong. Naturally, that has all changed. Now, for me, “Just Win” symbolizes how we can do our part to beat this virus. Using whatever means possible, we will continue helping customers and partners navigate these difficult times while making memorable experiences that demonstrate our commitment to being trusted advisors, partners, and friends in the communities we serve.
We decided early on as the pandemic grew that we would pivot from the “Just Win” theme due to the health crisis and resulting economic destruction taking place. Now we focus on one small but powerful message that we wish for everyone at IE and for their extended families.
No One Infected. No One Affected.
We would also like to extend this message to you and to those you care about most. If we all are successful with this outcome during the pandemic, I have no doubt that we will be stronger than ever.
On behalf of IE we wish you all the best during these challenging times.
#NoOneInfected
#NoOneAffected
Be Safe. Be Well.
